 | High net worth individuals today are inevitably confronted with international tax and estate issues, be it through their investments, through their geographical mobility, or through international family members.
The seminar conveys a structured understanding of the international tax and estate planning issues affecting individuals and families today. Participants will become sensitive to international wealth planning opportunities and their pitfalls, and will be put in a position where they can work more effectively with national specialist advisors.
The seminar consists of two parts spread over 5 days. The first part of the seminar lays out the basic building blocks needed for wealth planning: The global principles of national taxation, the principles of international double taxation and the fundamental wealth planning structures such as trusts, foundations, partnerships and holding companies. In the second part of the seminar these building blocks are then applied in a country-specific context relating to British, German, French, Italian, Belgian and Spanish jurisdictions. Attendees are placed at the center of a rich and conducive learning environment composed of lectures and group discussions.
The lectures are taught by renowned academics who are experts in taxation and by practising specialists who are recognized leaders in their field.
