Course Structure The program will last a total of 7 weeks spread over 20 months. Initially, there will be a preparatory course on mathematical concepts in finance, lasting one week, followed by 3 blocks of two weeks each. These course blocks are thematically divided into modules. Between the first and the second block of courses, the participants will have 6 months in which to write a diploma paper.
The participant's successful completion of the Executive Program is confirmed by a diploma of the Swiss Finance Institute
Lecturers/Methods The various subjects will be approached from both theoretical and practical angles and will be consolidated by case studies. The theoretical concepts will be taught by selected university lecturers who are in close touch with practical work through their role as consultants. Seminars given by expert practitioners will demonstrate the transfer of theory into practice. Discussion of case studies in small groups will enhance the interactive analysis of the subject matter by the participants themselves.
Modern teaching methods characterize the Swiss Finance Institute’s Executive Program. Important features of the syllabus are the collaboration between participants and the multi-disciplinary teaching. Group assignments, distant learning and related methods will further stimulate and improve the participant's competence.
